About the founder

Julia loves a winding road. She walks them, she bikes them, and she lives them.

After graduating from NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study with a concentration in creative writing and entrepreneurship, she meandered through a few marketing gigs and ultimately ended up back at NYU—this time, for a Masters in Psychology. During this time, she started a personal training business that not only complemented her studies, but that supported her for several years beyond the program’s completion. She adored her clients, the training environment, and the network of determined people that she met through those five years, all of which unexpectedly contributed to the establishment of what’s now art and mgmt: an independent studio management firm pairing studio managers with visual artists.

Julia celebrates this coalescing of her skills and interests everyday, grateful to work with clients in such a uniquely intimate and profound way. She’s a proud interdisciplinarian who harnesses her generalist nature in an effort to make her specialist clients shine. When she’s not working on client objectives, she may be found lifting heavy weights, cycling over large hills, painting on all surfaces, or reading short stories. Julia’s favorite color is marigold, her favorite food is khoresh bademjan, and her greatest joy is taking seedling ideas to their full potentials.
